Editorial policy
Chip District UK writes as an analytical specialist: we explain trade-offs, not cheerleader slogans. This page states how that work is done.
Sources we trust for hard facts
- UK Gambling Commission public register for licensee name, account number, activity status, and registered domains
- Operator legal, responsible-gambling, and help pages for product framing — never as a substitute for the register
- Official guidance from CAP/ASA and safer-gambling bodies when we describe advertising or support messaging
If a material claim cannot be tied to a current authoritative source, we omit it rather than invent a filler value.
Scores
Five-star ratings are editorial. They weigh licence continuity, fit for casino players within the cohort, clarity of licensing and safer-gambling information, and overall documentation quality. They are not regulator grades, popularity contests, or guarantees of future performance.
Commercial influence
Affiliate relationships can decide which operators enter a comparison set and how they are ordered. They do not authorise publication of false licence data. See the affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected when substantiated. Use corrections or email editorial@chipdistrictuk.com.
Independence
We are not employed by the UK Gambling Commission and do not speak for GAMSTOP, GamCare, or GambleAware. Linking to those organisations does not imply endorsement of Chip District UK.
